Q Fever awareness in veterinary clinics
SafeWork NSW will be conducting random visits to Veterinary Clinics throughout the Sydney Metropolitan and Regional South and North areas from late February/early March 2018. The purpose of these visits is to raise awareness of Q Fever in the workplace in order to prevent and or minimise the risk of exposure to the bacteria and its associated health effects, in addition to also raising awareness of mandatory reporting of persons whom have contracted Q Fever in the workplace to SafeWork NSW, in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2017, Cl 699(b)(i).
